2016 Lorne Biennial, This was my second appearance at this long running event and I had the opportunity to do a work on a site that was long and broad with a gentle tilt towards the beach below. The site was visible from a range of vantage points and I installed a work featuring overlapping lens forms echoing the shapes of all the surrounding surf boards on the coast. I began by building a large stencil with timber and corrugated plastic sheeting and it down in different positions and filled in the areas with a spray gun. By using stencils I could also work with additional assistants and easily reapply the the forms when they faded with rain over the duration of this 3 week event.
